Biography[]
Sera Toryn is a mystery to anyone except a few close friends. She is a prodigy in the forms and methodology of combat, and has received a lifetime of training from the renown Dahar Master Kor'Veth. Despite this training, she has very little in the way of social skills, and tends to isolate herself. Her closest friends are Asnov Ehou, Charles Arlington, Christine April, and a few others within the Alpha Centuri Institute.
Sera grew up in a world devastated by the Dominion War, and it left an impression early in her life. The desire to protect her world was fueled by House Toryn's lineage as the Knights of Betazed, who are mainly guards, police officers, and Starfleet Officers. A Chance encounter with Dahar Master Kor'Veth, would set the stage for her life. Kor'Veth denied all but Sera the opportunity to learn and train from him, as Kor'Veth would note that 'they were not ready to learn.'
Kor'Veth's training was harsh and unrelenting, but he slowly molded Sera into the soldier the galaxy needed, though she did not understand her role when she was younger. Kor'Veth was very much a believer in Chancellor Gor'kon's Undiscovered Country, and he encouraged a love for Shakespeare in Sera. She would often quote famous lines from Hamlet when appropriate.
The Academy would provide another place for her to learn. Even though Kor'Veth was not in favor of her joining starfleet, he did not deny her sense of duty.
