A convergence event is a type of quantum physics phenomena predicted by the theories of Sodock.
According to Sodock's theories, convergence events occur when multiple universes or realities with normally divergent world-lines converge on a single significant event shared between them. Such events are normally events of large scope and scale, but can be either naturally occurring or the result of sentient activity. Convergence events often lead to a quantum incursion, involving the actual transfer of matter or energy from one universe into another.
In late 2409, Sodock's work had apparently progressed beyond the theoretical stage in more than one reality. The concurrent progress made across realities and the overall scope of his work resulted in a convergence event. (Episode: The Scavengers)
